Our educational tours will provide you with facts about crocodiles, snakes and other llizards. Children learn just how important the existance of these creatures are to maintain a balanced and healthy ecological system.

Feeding of Crocodiles

Feeding sessions take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 15:00.

Visitors are given the opportunity to view these awesome giant creatures' natural bechaviour at close range. Questions and answers relevant to crocodiles and their behaviour can be addressed.

Petting Zoo

There is a petting zoo and people visiting the farm can have the unique opportunity to hold a crocodile hatchling. Children and tourists can also have the opportunity to hold and pet several tortoises. There are also various snakes and they are all housed in glass cages. This give visitors the opportunity to observe these sometimes deadly creatures without running the risk of being bitten.

Children can with the guidance of the tour leaders pet tortoises and smaller lizards.

Small Castle For Romance

Do you want to put the spark back into your marriage on the most romantic way possible? Hire a castle! The French call it the "Petit Chateau", and that is exactly what this hidden jewel is about for Mariaan and Karl Menge. It is situated only 7km outside Marble Hall in the Limpopo Province. Don't expect too much luxury though as this place is designed to bring you closer to nature on more than just one way.

The luxury is rather found in popping a bottle of shampaigne in a jacuzzi on the 3rd floor, looking over a majectic landscape. You have to remember there are no electricity and no jets to massage your body, but that function is rather left to you and your partner's imagination.

On the second floor is a bedroom with a breathtaking view over the valley below. Beautiful purpel red linnen is draped over the bed, making the romance so much more special. Relaxing in the bathtub with the world at your feet will be another favourite past time. There is even a telescope with which you and your partner can look at the stars in total amazement.

Imagine having no television, no children and no neighbours to interrupt your once in a lifetime opportunity to put that spark back into your love life. On the 3rd floor there is a place for you to have a barbeque while watching the majestic African sun go down over the valley. Remember the first time when you looked into your partner's eyes? Remember the first electrical touch and the butterflies? This will bring that all back into your life. Come and discover your partner all over again.

Petit Chatau is situated on a 30ha bushveld farm. It is for those who adores nature and like watching birds as well as for those who just need a romantic getaway.

It is R800 for the Castle per night. Be warned though that the steep road to the castle is not meant for low expensive vehicles. Mariaan and Karl will however be able to take those up to the castle who doesn't have a suitable vehicle. There are suitable parking available at the foot of the mountain where the Reptile Sanctuary is situated.
